TomTom Go 720 Traffic is designed to make your tours easy. It is not just a GPS. It has all the latest functionalities: latest maps of Europe and UK, MP3 players, iPOD connectivity, and Live Traffic ™.

The TomTom Go 720 Traffic comes with a 4.3 inch touch screen so you can view better as well as navigate easily. This set is much smaller and sleek than its predecessors. Adding to the benefits is the reduction in its weight.

Map Shareware

This system has a built in customization software that allows you to customize your maps. The Map Shareware program allows you to add to your existing maps. You can delete, edit, or add new maps in a touch. You can make changes directly on the maps. You can also set the machine to receive changes made by others in the map community.

The machine has the capability to update the traffic information automatically. It has a built in RDS-TMC traffic receiver which can receive traffic updates broadcasted every 30 minutes. You may opt to update the information automatically or manually, based on your requirements.

Traffic Notifications

Your TomTom also carries the facility to notify you of upcoming speed cameras in the traffic. So you can drive without any worries. It also takes care of your speed and warns you when you are over speeding. You can access this feature even if you are not using the navigation mode.

Bluetooth Operations

The TomTom carries Bluetooth facility. You can connect your TomTom to any of your cellphones through the Bluetooth. You can then use the TomTom to make or receive calls through the help of its touch screen.

Safety Features

TomTom Go 720 Traffic has an array of safety features too. You can access help anytime through its exclusive Help Me feature. The feature has the updated phone numbers of most emergency services, including the police, fire station, traffic help, and doctors. It contains First Aid instructions too.

You can set the limits on your driving by feeding in your speed limit as well as timed driving breaks. Next time when you are traveling with your TomTom, you won't be exhausted to the extent that you cannot enjoy your destination.

The TomTom has a 400 MHz processor to update traffic more effectively. It contains 64 MB RAM with 256 Flash memory. It also contains an expansion SD slot so that you can increase the memory in case you have got more songs to store.

Other Features

The total weight of your TomTom is not more than 220 grams. You can charge the battery to receive five hours of traffic information. Full with GPS reciver and FM transmitter, the TomTom is able to update the traffic maps at regular intervals.

IQ Routes
The new TomTom IQ Routes technology is based on actual average speeds on roads, rather than the posted speed limits. This intelligent routing technology is based on anonymous historical speed profiles of over 6.2 billion miles of driven roads, gathered over the years by millions of TomTom users. It takes into account all the factors that may influence the time it takes drivers to get to their destination, including traffic lights, rotaries, steep slopes and speed bumps.

The TomTom IQ Routes speed profile database continues to grow at the rate of over half a billion measurements per day, so the time and spatial accuracy of TomTom IQ Routes technology will continually increase. Drivers can be confident that they will always be given the smartest route, incorporating detailed local knowledge. This allows for more efficient daily route planning, in particular when driving through urban and mountainous areas.

Advanced Lane Guidance
With the new Advanced Lane Guidance feature, navigating difficult junctions becomes easier than ever before. Advanced Lane Guidance provides users with realistic visuals of complex highway junctions and lane-specific directions. Static images of road signs, in the same color as the ones displayed on the road, ensure that drivers have an even more realistic view of the road ahead, and their specific route.
